Cotswold Cottage extension near Stroud

Our most recent project is a double-storey extension of a Cotswold stone cottage.

This project involved the demolition of a back room and the excavation of over 200,000 tonnes of Cotswold brash on a very restricted site with a single Cotswold lane.

Keeping the village happy throughout the demolition and excavation period was very important to us, and we took great care to ensure that our work did not disrupt the local community.

The project, which is still ongoing, includes a contemporary block extension clad in silver birch, which is designed to complement the old building. We worked closely with the existing building to dig down and add new steels, which was a challenging process. Despite these challenges, we were able to overcome them and deliver the project to the highest standards.

At Turbyfield & Sons Builders, we take great pride in our ability to work with historic buildings and bring them into the 21st century.

So, whether you are looking to add a contemporary extension to your historic property, or you want to preserve its character while adding modern amenities, Turbyfield & Sons Builders has the experience, expertise, and dedication to make your vision a reality.
